FutureWorks' Youth Programs are funding assistance programs for Lower Mainland companies hiring youth facing significant barriers.
The goal is for youth, ages 15 to 30, to be matched with rewarding career opportunities with growing companies.
After meeting with a WorkStart Consultant, your résumé will be sent to employers seeking candidates with a skills profile similar to yours. You can also use the Targeted Wage Subsidy program to assist you in marketing yourself to employers during your own job search.
The wage subsidy funding allows a new employee’s skills to be upgraded on the job to meet the company's current competency standards. The skills upgrading is monitored through an individualized, company-specific Work Experience Plan at regular intervals for the duration of the TWS contract.
