Targeted Wage Subsidy

The ScienceLink and JobFit programs offer wage funding grants to Lower Mainland companies hiring employees who meet the eligibilitycriteria. The ScienceLink program supports new employees with technical, engineering or science skills and the JobFit program is for those with non-technical or administrative backgrounds.

The purpose of the wage subsidy program is to match eligible jobseekers with rewarding career opportunities in growing companies.

Helps you reach employers

After attending one of our information sessions, your résumé will be sent to employers seeking candidates with a skills profile similar to yours. You can also use the Targeted Wage Subsidy program to assist you in marketing yourself to employers during your own job search.

Helps you gain full-time employment

The wage subsidy funding allows a new employee’s skills to be upgraded on the job to meet the company's current competency standards. The skills upgrading is monitored through an individualized, company-specific Work Experience Plan at regular intervals for the duration of the wage subsidy contract.
